In at number 5 and Spring Ready is a gorgeous ‘Parisian’ Chest of Drawers, adding that splash of colour and oodles of charm to this beautiful bedroom.
A stunning feature against an empty wall, the delicate curved shape and rustic wood top softens the overall look of the room, whilst remaining a stylish addition and brining out the colour in the cushion on the bed, pulling the scheme together.
Give your home a ‘New Year Lift’
Happy New Year from Chichi, we hope you had a great Christmas.
Well, I don’t know about you, but I always hit January with my head spinning with goals, ambitions and resolutions, many of which often don’t happen, unless some sort of magic dust is tipped over me on January 1st, it really is no different to the day before.
But, we can start off on the right foot and inject some new style and colour into our homes, by adding a transformative feature piece of furniture to rooms we feel have lost that welcoming spark.
Jan/Feb is such a dark, damp and dingy time of year, so fight back, grab a paint brush, add some colour, make your lights brighter, add lamps and then that key piece to lift the room ready for spring.
Chichi Furniture Adding Some Autumnal Colour To Your Home
Embracing the seasons can be fun when it comes to home decor and doesn’t have to mean re-decorating. We can all get bored with the same old cycle of change each year, but it can be fun to use each season as a time to mix up our homes a bit.
Follow natures unfaltering lead with colour, adding some autumnal hues to your home with a few accent furniture pieces.

Todays post is all about colour :O)
We all need a little colour in our lives. Colour can completely transform a space and our mood. Sometimes when you look at a room it just needs that little something extra – colour.
It doesn’t have to mean a total re-paint. Just adding a feature piece of vibrant furniture can really lift a space, adding dimension and depth.

Well here we go – letter ‘Y’ and equally as tricky as ‘X’, so i’m going to be inventive and say, ‘Y’ is for ‘Yin and Yang’ – as a contrast of two colours to create a dramatic visual affect in a room.
Blending and matching colours in a room creates a ‘safe’ comfortable space, but sometimes its fun to jazz it up a bit and create a design statement. Choosing two vivid contrasting colours in a scheme can change the dynamic and dimension of a space – almost creating an illusion. Two ways of doing this is either to paint the room one colour and furnish in another – e.g a vast white room with bold black furniture can look so stylish. Or, be more subtle and introduce contrasting colours by way of two toned furniture (as per below examples), so the room doesn’t necessarily have to be as dramatic when you first walk in, but there are a few choice pieces of furniture that really stand out.
In the same way choosing to have gorgeous chic bed against an unfinished brick wall can look striking, especially if finished with a large sparkling chandelier hanging from a concrete ceiling, it adds dimension and intrigue. Mixing up pattern/texture and colour can be fun and have great results :O)

‘V’ is for Velvet adding a touch of class. We have already touched on upholstery and how beautifully upholstered pieces can create huge statements in your home, so stepping up from that we have velvet upholstery – stunning, sumptuous and super stylish. As well as being a visual delight, it adds texture too.
